We are Scott and Benita Koeman. Thanks to the US Army, we have lived across the United States, however, West Michigan is where Scott’s roots are, and West Michigan is where we decided to build our future “forever” home.
In 2015 we began milling over 400 yellow pine logs while we were stationed in South Carolina. We made 30+ trips to Michigan with boards and beams. Construction of our timber frame home began in 2017; in December of 2018 we moved in. Construction of our post and beam barn began in 2020 and was completed in June 2021.
We hope you will enjoy learning about our building process. And we hope you get an opportunity to visit this special place we call home!
