Can there ever be enough space in a garage? We think not, but we are quite content! For our guests it is a perfectly cool space for games and small events.

NOTABLE FEATURE – My husband was determined to have no vertical support beams in the garage. He intentionally had cut 18″ support beams instead of the 14″ that the architect had designed. What we didn’t factor in was that the beams were still new and pliable and susceptible to bowing. Just the tiniest sagging and shifting had a larger implication throughout the house. One example is the curvature of our vertical beams in the (west) upper levels of the house. To react, we reinforced the structure with custom steel rods (which you can see the wrench hanging on the far west beam)…. and we put the vertical support beams in the garage after all.
